Course outline:

The goal of this course is to give you a general overview of transportation planning from a policy-making approach. More specifically, it aims at giving you a good understanding of (i) the basic principles of urban transport planning, the general characteristics of urban travel and transport systems, (iii) the transportation planning and decision making process and (iv) plan implementation. This course will help you set the foundations for the course Urban Transport Planning and Analysis which will focus more on the workings of the analysis and modeling process.
